This Sunday, I'll be on set shooting an actra co-op pilot called Paranormal Investigators.
The show is a 22-minute television pilot/short being shot independently under ACTRA Co-Op guidelines. The story follows NAV and MAX, two jaded employees who work in the complaints department of a major television network. Their lives are turned upside-down when AVA KNOTS, an ambitious would-be reporter, is given an opportunity by the network to host a reality show investigating paranormal activity. She is short on crew and enlists NAV and MAX to help her shoot the show, and they soon find themselves in over their heads. When rumors swirl that a local child has been possessed by the devil, the gang are quick to investigate and find much more than they were expecting. The show is a comedy similar in tone and style to 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.'
Fringe 2012 is officially over. I had a wonderful time being involved with the production Linda & Jason. Being a part of a festival is always a great experience. Until next year!
Jesse will be appearing in the new play Linda & Jason at the 2012 Toronto Fringe Festival. Playing at the Theatre Passe Muraille Backspace, the play is a romantic comedy about a girl in her mid-twenties who goes through a crisis when she realizes her life isn't where she expected it to be. Jesse plays the role of Steven, Jason's wise older brother, whose laid-back outlook on life gives him a unique perspective on being a young person in a grown-up's world.
